About
EpicSessions.tv started with windsurfing livecasts from Ho'okipa and Jaws to showcase the worlds best windsurfing locations to viewers in realtime around the globe. EpicSessions continues to build remote livecasting technologies for small teams to broadcast anywhere, anytime the conditions are good for the sport. Since you can't schedule mother nature, we've built a flexible livecasting system that literally fits into a small Dakine backpack.
The 2010 JumpOff series of events are the result of the idea to take variables out of typically subjectively judged events like windsurfing, kiteboarding, snowboarding and wakeboarding. Riders compete against physics for the highest jump, fastest rotation and sometimes the most spectacular wipeouts. The numbers don't lie and the sports are more readily consumed by casual spectators who now can enjoy spectacular board sports without knowledge of all the unique moves in each sport.
Now, in 2011, we've evolved with the Red Line Challenge, which takes our traditional Jumpoff format to the next level. In the Redline events we'll be utilizing new, wireless 3D sports motion sensing technology that will enable us to provide interactive sports broadcasts with realtime competitor data livestreamed to the viewer's display.
Founded by David Troup in 2008, EpicSessions.tv has offices and employees in freezing Wisconsin, on the banks of the Columbia River in Oregon, and in beautiful Maui.
